HeronBridge is a small consulting firm based in unceded Kwakwaka'wakw territories on the coast of British Columbia. For over 15 years we have worked at the leading edge of climate change adaptation in B.C., specializing in participatory and collaborative processes for building community resilience and becoming adaptive. Our work focuses on awareness and capacity-building, bringing innovative engagement approaches to trainings, experiential workshops, collaborative planning processes and risk assessments. We work with clients and partners in Indigenous governments and organizations; local, regional, provincial and federal governments; multi-sector and regional collaboratives; non-profits and community organizations.
We see our work at HeronBridge as part of an ongoing inquiry into what it means to live in right relationship with the lands, waters, human and more-than-human beings of this part of the world, in dynamic and changing times. This means making time to generate multi-faceted understandings of the issues we face and uncover pathways to greater coherence and resilience as individuals, groups and communities. We focus on the local and regional scale in particular, holding care and relationships at the centre of how we learn and navigate change and complexity.
